Your car isn't the only thing that needs a tune-up...
Most people take good care of their cars. After all, they use them
every day, and they want to avoid unexpected breakdowns and costly
repairs. So, a regular oil change, scheduled tune-ups and other
preventive maintenance is considered routine.
But this is not the case with home heating and air conditioning
systems. They are nowhere near as glamorous as a shiny new car, and
people just don't think about heating and air conditioning a lot. These
things just seem to run themselves, so they are easily forgotten--until
they stop working. This always seems to happen on either the hottest or
the coldest day of the year!
A typical furnace will run 1100 hours during an average winter heating
season. If it was your car, and you drove at 60 mph, that would amount
to over 66,000 miles, without maintenance! But with the same type of
low cost preventive maintenance that you give your car, unexpected and
often costly heating and air conditioning breakdowns can be avoided.
At Seastead, our number one priority is keeping your home heating and
air conditioning system in top condition, and the best way to do this is
with one of our scheduled preventive maintenance agreements.
What are the benefits of preventive maintenance?
Besides the obvious savings from preventing major breakdowns and costly
repairs, preventive maintenance can also help you save money
year-round. A poorly maintained heating and air conditioning system
runs inefficiently. This means it uses more and more energy to get the
same amount of comfort.
With our maintenance agreement, you have the peace of mind that your
home comfort equipment is in safe operating condition. You don't have
to worry about a thing. We'll contact you to schedule a tune-up at your
convenience. Included free with every heating tune-up is a carbon
monoxide test, performed with state-of-the-art equipment.
Our technicians will tune up and examine your equipment for unsafe
conditions such as: improper venting, gas leaks within the unit, faulty
electrical connections and safety controls. They'll clean and examine
the heat exchanger, adjust the blower, check refrigerant levels and
report to you on the overall condition of your system.
